i've never ordered this type of dryer before..and I thought the collapsible was a great idea. But 1st time using it was horrible. I noticed a distinct odor blowing at first it smelled like it was burning....but then something else no idea what it was it wasn't 2 minutes when I had problems breathing, chest pain when attempted to breathe and burning eyes. Once I turned it off and the air cleared the problem stopped. I don't know what that problem was all about but it should be on recall. I ended up having to return it. I couldn't understand conair is a good brand. I wouldn't recommend this particular dryer to anyone.

Love the Conair collapsible bonnet hair dryer. It works great. Dries my hair fast and takes up little space.

I use very large rollers and this bonnet was way too small! Also the settings will not allow me to condition my hair. I was very disappointed.

We bought the Conair HH400 for my mother who is suffering with Alzheimer's disease. We needed an alternative to using a curling iron on her hair for creating curls. So we instead purchased smooth rollers and a hair dryer for her to sit under. This has worked perfectly (for us).

The hair dryer is quite powerful. It creates a great volume of warm air that surrounds the head from top to bottom. The unit is very quiet (surprisingly quiet). And while many people have commented about the stand itself, we have had no issues in setting this unit up. Overall, we're quite pleased with this purchase.

For those that are very concerned about making this purchase, the hair dryer has some very unique advantages. Its very portable. The entire unit folds into itself and is no bigger then a cake box when collapsed. The unit is also has the feature where the bottom ring of the hair dryer bonnet (the part with the CONAIR logo) can be removed to provide a more gentle hair drying. And again, the unit is quite powerful. My wife use to work in a hair salon, and she feels that the unit is 'salon quality' which means its works as well as you can expect a portable bonnet hair dryer to work.

Finally, the transaction went very well. The hair dryer arrived on time in perfect condition. We had no issues with this purchase. I highly recommend the Conair HH400 Hair Dryer.

My wife has used this product for quite some time, and when her last one finally wore out I ordered another one as a replacement. She has long, thick hair and finds this kind of dryer works best for her hair. She sets the dryer on her bathroom countertop, sits under it on her dressing chair, and reads her Kindle while her hair dries. Next best thing to going to the hair dresser.
